Privacy Policy
restof.me is made by Never Manual (“we”). This policy covers two groups of people: creators who make pages, and visitors who open them. Contact: [email protected].
Creators
We keep your account — name, email address and photo, from the sign-up form or from Google if you sign in with it — and what is in your workspace: links, pages, pictures, domains, members, and API keys (only as a hash).
Visitors of a page
To count visits and tell people from bots, when someone opens a restof.me page we record the time, the page and the button tapped, the country and network (looked up from the IP address on our own server — the address itself is not kept with the visit), the app and device, the browser’s user agent and the site the visitor came from. A random visitor ID is kept in a cookie for 30 days, so a repeat visit is not counted twice and the bot check is not repeated. The page’s creator sees these numbers as statistics. Visit records are kept for up to 400 days.
Cookies
Only what the service needs: the visitor cookie above, and sign-in cookies set by Clerk in your account. restof.me’s own pages — the home page, guides, these terms — count views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies; creators’ pages don’t load it. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
Who else handles it
- Clerk — accounts and sign-in;
- Cloudflare — network, security, site analytics and email;
- Hostinger — our servers.
If a creator connects restof.me to Never Manual, their pages’ statistics go to their Never Manual workspace. We do not sell data or use it for advertising. We may disclose data when the law requires it.
Your rights
Creators can delete links — their visit records go with them — and ask us to delete the account. Anyone can ask to see, correct or delete data about them, or object to how we use it: write to [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Changes
We post changes here and update the date above.
